FX Show 2009: Joe Heads in a Jar! Contest

The first Joe Heads in a Jar! contest is completed and we are currently reviewing all the entries. So, you're probably wondering whatever happened to that Guess the Joes in the Jar Contest we had back at the FX Convention. Well, honestly, it's a story. See, by the time we unloaded our inventory from the convention in the Docking Bay, and took the Millennium Falcon back (Okay, so, Ted's Mom's Big Yellow Ram is NOT The Millennium Falcon) we were exhausted. So then we came in on our days off from the shop, Monday and Tuesday, and proceeded to clean. As we surveyed the now chaotic fraction of our massive back issue collection we'd taken to the show, we decided now was the perfect time to finally get around to organizing and adding the 15 long boxes we still had put in to the back issue bins. Needless to say, this proved to be a monumental task, but it went relatively smoothly. We are very proud to say this goal has been accomplished, and our back issue inventory is now easy to search through, in its entirety. So anyways, the Joes in the Jar were waiting in their jar, which a nameless individual had placed in a kind of out of the way spot. Amidst the hub bub of rearranging shelves and moving boxes another nameless individual seemingly bumped into a rolling cart, which in turn rolled in to the rather large, all glass, jar. Suffice it to say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Look at that! The tragedy! All that shattered glass... and corpses... scattered everywhere. It must have been terrorists! Terrorists I say! I'd blame Cobra... but as any body can see the bodies of their men lie scattered there as well. I blame those lameoid guys from The Corps. Anyways, we proceeded to place the fallen into their resting places, (The 2 Gallon Zip-Lock bags from which they came) taking careful toll of the chilling body count, The winners are:

  4. We will post the winners on the website.  There will be at least three winners.
  5. Prizes include really cool stuff like autographed photos & action figures.  (Real celebrities, not us!)
  6. We will do it again with a different quantity of G.I. Joe heads.
  7. You have to come by the store to pick up your prizes or contact us for other arrangements.  Don't forget rule #1.
  8. This is mostly for fun but we will increase the number of prizes as we have more contestants.
  9. We do take suggestions from contestants.
  10. One last thing, for those purist G.I. Joe Collectors, we know a few of the heads are not "Hasbro" G.I. Joe Heads. They still count as the total quantity in the jar.
